Handgun / Centerfire ammunition uses a cartridge with a primer located in the center of the cartridge case head. Unlike rimfire cartridges, the primer is a separate and replaceable component. The centerfire cartridge is used on all modern pistol, rifle and shotgun ammunition with the exception of low-powered .22 and .17 cartridges.
Never use ammunition that is not specifically made for your firearm.
